Rising to a height of more than one thousand meters Springbrook dominates the western skyline of the Gold Coast and southern skyline from Brisbane City. It is an area of exceptional scenic beauty with ancient rainforest, panoramic views and huge waterfalls. Its geological origins date back to the vast shield volcano that was last active 10 million years ago. Mount Warning, aboriginal name "Wollumbin - the cloud catcher, is its old core. Seen from the "BEST OF ALL LOOKOUTS" Best of all lookout and Mount Warning are Highlights on the Day tour.

Walking Highlights:

"Best of all Lookouts"

This 1 km walk starts with the track located at the top end of the Old Repeater Station. The path is not steep and this allow for plenty of time to enjoy this temperate rainforest. Along the way look out for wallabies, birds, and reptiles you will pass the moss laden relics of the last ice age, the Antarctic Beechs. These ancient trees are very "Lord of Rings". This path arrives at the edge of the escarpment with a spectacular view across the Tweed Valley to Mt Warning and Byron Bay.

"Purlingbrook Falls "

Walkers pass through open eucalypti forest before descending into the gorge to view the waterfalls from below. A steady climb through forest brings the walker back to the start point, this 4 km hike has great wildlife opportunities as the sun in the gorge, is a must for most. The Warringa water pool is downstream from the base of the falls, this walk allows for great views of this World heritage listed area. With most day temp in the 20 degree, bring your swimwear for a quick dip.

Twin Falls Circuit:

This walk from the Tallanbana forest area, this is one of the most interesting tracks on the plateau as you descend into the mossy green depth of the rainforest. This track allow the hiker to pass behind two waterfalls, though rock clefts and among palms and tree ferns, look for Blue Crayfish, fish and turtles in this clean fresh water; take a quick swim or relax beside these amazing waterfalls.

Natural Bridge and Glow worm Banks

This great world heritage listed area allow clients to walk and hike this circuit track, with plenty of time to enjoy the freshwater creeks, glow worm banks, and hike the spectacular Natural Arch. This amazing natural formation is a waterfall and cave all in one, courtesy of mother nature; a home for our Glow worms.

Also seen on this tour, if the group is super fit or has a small group- Hardys Lookout which looks west over the plains and Natural Bridge, Canyon Lookout which has views to Surfers Paradise, Burleigh heads and Gold Coast and Wunburra Lookout walk with views to Brisbane, Stradebroke Island and Moreton Bay.
