Caution vehicles on road. A short road walk along the edge of the heathland swamp and through a Casuarina woodland to the beach at Tailor Bight.
The western beach, Moreton Bay and views to the mainland. Turn left and follow shoreline south. A variety of marine and bird life to be seen along this coast. The sarsaparilla coloured water of Dog Creek.
Beyond Dog Creek continue around Comboyuro Point where the beach is off limits to motor vehicles. The campground (toilets) is hidden behind the trees. The Bulwer Wrecks appear. Good place to take a dip and throw a line.
Large sweep of the shoreline south to Cowan Cowan. Not recommended at high tide. Pass Craven Creek one of the streams that flow into the bay. Just south of Cowan are some concrete bunkers from WWII.
In the distance are the Tangalooma wrecks. Pass Ben Ewa campgrounds (Toilets). Arrive in time for dip in the clear waters of Moreton Bay. Cool off before the trip home.
